About UAPM

With our experience and expertise of over 25 years in the field of pulmonary medicine, untiring efforts of last three years and immense help of our dedicated fellow doctors have been able to establish the United Academy of Pulmonary Medicine as a unique society.

The founder members gathered together from various part of India with the objective to make a platform that will cater need of all our colleagues and medical students in the field of pulmonary medicine, nationally and internationally with wide dissemination of knowledge and research.

The growing scientific knowledge of emerging pulmonary medicine and its advancements, we are surely going to make a difference in the way we see pulmonary medicine at present.

Membership

Honorary Member

recommended by the Council for approval by the academy, they will be persons elected in recognition of their knowledge of, or contribution to the study of the specialty or to the academy.

Ordinary Members

Any person possessing a recognized medical degree and who is in active practice or has scientific or practical interest in the specialty may be proposed for membership of the academy.

Life Members

Any person who is eligible for ordinary membership may be, if he so desires, made a Life Member on the payment of a lumpsum equivalent to 10 years of annual subscription.

Life Fellows

Such members of the academy as have distinguished themselves in the specialty for at least 5 years after PG are eligible for the award of Fellowship. Fellows are entitled to suffix FAPM to their names.

Register as Life Member

Any person who is eligible for ordinary membership may be, if he so desires, made a Life Member on the payment of a lumpsum equivalent to 10 years of annual subscription in lieu of annual subscription provided all conditions as laid down for Ordinary Membership are satisfied.

Register as Life Fellow

The award of Fellowship shall be decided by the Credential Committee governed by the Regulations framed by the Council from time to time. Candidature for Fellowship shall be considered a period of four years or more after becoming life member of the academy.
